The film explores the Tarlabaşı district of Istanbul during its urban transformation process. Using a static camera positioned indoors, it captures the streets outside, inspired by the constantly open doors of the neighborhood. The camera gazes outward from within, allowing scenes to naturally unfold and letting each moment discover its own story. This approach invites viewers into the documentary’s authentic atmosphere, offering a direct experience of the neighborhood’s transformation. For the sound design, I posed the question “What is love?” to the residents to delve into their inner worlds, integrating their answers into the visuals during post-production.
